Dear Journal,

Gameplay: 9.5

I'm Pvt. Martin of the Allied Expeditionary Force, and I'm here to describe how did World War 2 happen from me and 2 of my other foreign friends' eyes, British Special Forces Sgt. Evans and Jr. Sgt. Alexi of the Soviet Army.

I could recall boot camp, a nicer place than Europe. They taught me the ways of being a soldier, and where I learnt how to fire a weapon accurately, and the power of explosives. But as soon as the days at boot camp were over, I was in France, behind enemy lines, helping the allies in storming Normandy. Sergeant Evans said he remembered too, that he was involved in D-day, protecting Pegasus Bridge from the Nazi or they'll send more tanks to stop the invasion at the beaches. Alexi, he had the most of the action, especially from one of his story at Stalingard, when he was a Private, and was unarmed in the battlefield, and was used as a bait for German machinegunners to shot at while a sniper picked the fascists one by one. He said that we westerners are lucky, not having the fear of having an officer to shot you when you are trying to find cover. Overall, it was a scary ride.

We all learnt one valuable thing during the war: always find cover. That goes the same for the enemy. The enemy can see you and will shoot unless the bullets can't reach you. You do the same back. We handled alot of weapons. Ours and the Germans, like the MP40 or for Evans here, a flak gun. Alexi even said he was a commander of a Soviet Tank during the war.

The war flyers said that in war, no one fights alone, victory is not gained by one live, but the lives of many. My squad mates all were along side with me during the war, they were fighting like soldiers, and were smart enough to find cover too, unlike Evans anyway. Evans said being a Special Operative is difficult. In one of his missions, he is too infiltrate and sabotage a German Dam by himself. Though he had to work alone sometimes, he said it was fun. I don't believe him.

Some of the missions were thrilling, but all the missions aren't linked, which means that I can't write a story of it with my friends here. Though, now reflecting on the missions, it could be made into a movie. Boot Camp recommend that all the equipment I could carry is 2 large guns, a pistol and serveral gernades, which is logical as carrying anymore is suicide and impossible. With all the equipment, I was able to crouch, go prone, or run without problem.

In a war simulation (Multiplayer), it was very fun. A neat feature in it is that when you are considered dead, a 'kill-cam' will play, showing the last 5 seconds of my life through the killer's eyes. What technology we have nowadays!

Oddly, some of my squad members can't die in some missions. I saw someone, who took 15 rounds from Germans from all sides, he just fell, got up and started running for cover. At first I was worried for the Captain, but then he pulled through and helped us in completing the mission.

Before each mission, you'll get something to read while waiting.

Thw war, visually is stunning. The explosions are amazing, and all of us felt the effect of 'Shell Shock', or when an explosion happens near you. Where the whole world gets burly, sound turns to this hollow sound in our ears. I could say Germans were bad painters, with poorly painted designs and objects in their houses. I rather look at the beautiful outdoors instead of entering another poorly painted house.

There is also sometimes, where time slows down, and movement oddly stutters,( Low FPS ) and are mildly annoying. My doctor said it must be the war getting over me, like my other friends, whom had the same experience sometimes.

Shoting Diving bombers are just a few things installed in Call Of Duty.

Sound: 10

Gunfire is very loud, louder than any gun I've fired before. It's extremely strong and covers the odd music playing in my head. I say, the music are nice, with out the bloody gunfire again and again! Thankfully, there are subtitles incase the gunfire are too loud to hear from squad members or the leader.

Save POWs from a German camp is another of the things in Call Of Duty.

Replayablity: 7

I wish I could relive the missions, though that would be too linear, it would be like watching a movie again.

Destroying V2 rockets is still just 1 out of many events in Call Of Duty. There is too many amazing stuff to do.

Reviewer's Opinion: 10

The war is oddly fun and challenging, the enemies react like real soldiers, unlike previous experiences. This is an improved version of a game I know: "Medal Of Honor", only with more dramatic missions and smarter AI. I've no idea why I wrote that.

This is Reichstag, now which is a shopping centre.
